What Volunteering Roles do you have? Or have most enjoyed?

Currently, the Year 1 Economics Academic Rep. Previously, I was Head of House during my sixth-form time and volunteered for 6 months at Saint Catherine’s Hospice. All of these roles have been enjoyable and have helped expand my soft skills.

Why do you volunteer?

Volunteering feels like a great use of my time and allows me to give back to my community. It’s also amazing to meet like-minded people!

What is your best feel good moment as a volunteer?

During sixth-form, I was involved in “Student Voice,” an opportunity to speak to younger students and resolve school issues. This experience is quite similar to rep meetings.

What benefits have you gained as a volunteer?

Free lunch, new friends, and something to add to my CV.

What volunteering roles are you looking forward to?

I haven’t explored other volunteering roles yet outside of being an academic rep, but I look forward to what the future holds.
