NUS Conference Election Results

THEY STOOD. YOU VOTED. WHAT NEXT?

Over 20 students recently took part in a cross campus election held by Aberystwyth Students’ Union (AberSU) to send delegations to a number of National Union of Students (NUS) Conferences around the UK. Each conference invites students from universities all over the UK to come together and help shape the work of the NUS, and in turn, what work we will do here in Aber!

The overall aim is to unite students to debate ideas and bring about change in society, so a huge thank you goes out to everyone who took stood, and to those who voted!

A special thank you is in order to the generosity of Aberystwyth University Alumni who have donated to the AberFund, which supports a number of projects across the University and Students’ Union, directly enriching the experience of our students. The AberFund grant has allowed us to send more students to conferences this year than ever before, which is a big win for our students, and their voice.

Attending an NUS conference can be an amazing experience for any student with many opportunities to network with other students, sharing in the chance to brush up skills in leadership, communication, organisation, teamwork and planning.

By sending delegates to conferences, AberSU gives its students a chance to have their voice heard on a national platform by voting on policy, NUS executive elections and more!
