Light on the water.
I see myself surfacing
Under a morning moon,
Calling my mourning short.
Moon whispers-
See how the sun rises
While I patiently fade.
An imprint of the night,
A half-remembered dream.
See this fleeting moment.
She stretches across the skyline,
Out of her sleeping state,
To illuminate these waters.
She takes her ascent.
Pulls back the shadows.
Her only purpose: to be seen
But not understood.
Let my high tide hold you
And my watery wings embrace.
Let my cold waters soothe you,
And be reminded of change.
